How Our Waitlist Works
Every Trailside puppy is placed through an application and waitlist system designed to create the best possible matches between puppies and their future families. Here’s how it works.
Submit an Application
All families start by completing a puppy application, so I can learn about your lifestyle, experience, and what you’re looking for in a dog.
Approval & Deposit
If we’re a good fit, you’ll be invited to join the waitlist and receive the purchase agreement and deposit form. A $500 non-refundable deposit secures your spot and is applied toward your puppy’s total price.
Waitlist Order
Selection order is based strictly on the date and time your deposit is received — not when you applied. Earlier deposits mean earlier pick order.
How Puppy Selection Works
Selections take place when puppies are approximately 4 weeks old, when their personalities, energy levels, and temperaments are much clearer. My program is built around thoughtful matching — not first-come, grab-a-puppy selection. I spend every day with the puppies and know their temperaments extremely well, and my goal is to place each one in the home where it’s most likely to thrive.
When It’s Your Turn
- I contact you in waitlist order.
- I share photos, videos, and my professional recommendations.
- I guide you toward the puppy that best fits your lifestyle, goals, and household.
My role is to support and advise you — never to force a match. Once you’ve selected your puppy, I move on to the next family on the waitlist.
